SAR Teams Rescued Three Lost Hikers in Golden Ears
The Ridge Meadow Search and Rescue and other volunteers came to the rescue of three hikers who were stranded in the Golden Ears area.
Fortunately, there was a group of scouts hiking along West Canyon, and heard the distressed hikers who were stranded on the other side of Evans Creek – which was impassable because of heavy rains.

Thank you to Ridge Meadow SAR, Pitt Meadows Scouts, and other volunteers for rescuing the three hikers. This is a reminder to everyone to always be prepared before adventuring out to recreational areas. Make sure you pack a bag full of emergency essentials, and always dress warm by wearing appropriate shoes and a warm jacket. As always, please be safe out there, everyone!
