
Rats Being Taught How To Find Survivors of Earthquakes
Rats are being trained by professionals to be alerted in finding survivors of earthquakes by wearing backpacks and microphones attached to them.
Spearheaded by 33-year-old research scientist Dr. Donna Kean from Glasgow, the project is called "Hero Rats." It has so far trained seven rats to navigate disaster sites to track people stuck in rubble to help them communicate with relief workers and get rescued in time.... read more here
This is one of the most interesting things I've ever read. I think this project the scientists are conducting is captivating in the interest of having other creatures such as rats being allowed to save lives whenever an earthquake might occur. I hope to hear more updates on this project and hopefully, those little critters can be patrolled and help save the lives of earthquake survivors.
