Thank you to N.H. Fish and Game and other volunteers for rescuing the man are a friendly reminder to anyone planning to hike to come well-prepared and equipped before heading to their hiking destination. Although some states do not require hikers to pay for their own rescue, to my understanding, in the state of New Hampshire, you must pay for your own rescue if you come unprepared. What are your thoughts on this? Should hikers pay for their own rescue if they come unprepared? As always, please be safe out there, everyone!
