Police SAR teams Rescued Stranded Climbers on Cape Hauy Area
The Police Search and Rescue Team and other volunteers were dispatched to rescue two stranded climbers stuck on top of the Totem Pole in the Cape Hauy area due to disastrous weather.
“This was a particularly complicated rescue from a sheer sided standing rock 60 metres in the air. It was done at night in cold, wet and windy conditions by a team of dedicated volunteers and they have ours and the climbers heartfelt thanks.” Read more here
