Cowlitz County SAR teams Rescue Unprepared Hiker Near Mount St Helens
An unprepared hiker was rescued just last Friday night by the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office SAR teams and other volunteers at Coldwater Lake after becoming ill while out on a hike.

Thank you to all of the SAR teams for rescuing the 67-year-old hiker. This is a reminder to be prepared for winter hikes. Especially at night, please bring a flashlight and comfortable clothes to keep you warm. If the cold weather prevents you from going outside, please stay indoors. As always, please be safe out there, everyone!
