Avalanche Kills Snowmobiler Near Johnson Peak
On Monday afternoon of January 5th, multiple SAR teams were on scene after an avalanche struck a snowmobiler near Johnson Peak, killing the individual after being buried.
Roughly 45 emergency responders were dispatched to the area, including teams from Truckee Fire, North Tahoe Fire, Nevada County Search and Rescue, and Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue. Read more here
