
Unprepared Hiker Rescued By GCSSAR on Bridger Ridge Trail
On Tuesday night, the Gallatin County Sheriff SAR team rescued a hiker stranded on Bridger Ridge Trail below the Baldy Mountain area.
The hiker had become lost after leaving marked trail and did not have appropriate clothing, supplies, or equipment to safely remain on the mountain given falling darkness and dwindling temperatures.

Great work to the Gallatin County Sheriff's SAR team for rescuing the hiker. We hope the hiker is doing well. This is a reminder to be prepared in case you get lost and might have to spend the night and in order to do that, you must pack a bag of important ennsetials such as a warm blanket, a gallon of water and food.
