
Douglas County SAR Rescues Injured Skier on Mount Thielson
The Douglas County Search and Rescue team rescued a 57-year-old injured skier on Mt. Thielson on Sunday after she went cross-country skiing with a friend where she fell and injured her ankle.
Sheriff’s officials said that Douglas County SAR and volunteers from Diamond Lake Resort responded to the area, hiking four miles to the base of a tree line where the victim was located shortly before 8 p.m. Read more here
