Snowboarder killed in Silverton Avalanche
Last week, multiple rescue teams recovered the body of a 41-year-old snowboarder after she and another person were up near the Ophir Pass where an avalanche erupted, killing the snowboarder as the other person made it out of the avalanche.
“The size of these avalanches, and the severe consequences of getting caught in one, are what’s driving the heightened danger,” CAIC wrote in a social media post on Monday. Read more here
