
SCSAR Aids Canadian Hiker After Injury on Mount Shasta
Last week, the Siskiyou County Search and Rescue team aided a skier from Canada after the 39-year-old went on a solo ski trip where he skied on Avalanche Gulch in the Mt. Shasta area and fell 10,000 feet down the mountain, suffering a serious leg injury.
Rescuers launched a series of teams, including skiers, a snowmobiler team and a snowshoe team.
