SAR Teams Rescued Eight Climbers At Goat Wall
Last week, the Okanogan County Volunteer Search and Rescue and other volunteers safely rescued eight climbers at Goat Wall near Mazama, WA after being stranded.
Rescuers had originally planned to use a helicopter to extricate the climbers but that course was scratched due to unsafe weather conditions that included wind, rain, and snow. Read more here
A huge thanks to the Okanogan County Volunteer Search and Rescue team and other volunteers for rescuing all eight climbers back to safety. We hope the climbers are doing well. I remember driving by the Goat Wall and seeing how glorious and wonderful the mountain looked. Although I didn't get the chance to visit there, I should put that on my bucket list.
