N.H. Fish and Game Rescues Two Hikers on Mount Lafayette
On Friday, December 12th, the N.H. Fish and Game and the Pemi Valley Search and Rescue team rescued two hikers on Mount Lafayette after they became lost, and one of the hikers suffered a leg injury due to a fall.
The two hikers were exposed to heavy winds, temperatures around 10 degrees and waist-deep snow, the department said. Read more here
Thank you to N.H. Fish and Game and the Pemi Valley SAR team for their miraculous rescue of the two hikers, as we wish both of them a speedy recovery. This is a reminder to everyone to always wear appropriate, warm clothing when hiking in cold temperatures. Depending on where you reside, it will get cold now that winter is approaching.
