
Fisherman Rescued By SAR Team After Being Stuck in Tide
The Bay Search and Rescue team rescued a fisherman on Saturday after he was stuck in tides while digging for bait in Morecambe Bay.
A spokesperson from Bay Search and Rescue [BSAR] said: "He was completely caught out by a fast moving spring tide, spending nearly fifteen minutes swimming, walking, floating and drifting to the point of exhaustion and shock. Read more here
We're glad to hear the fisherman was rescued thanks to the Bay SAR team. If you ever get stuck in a tide, the best thing to do is to remain calm, call for help and just wait until SAR teams have arrived to come rescue you.
