Elkland SAR Team Rescued Hiker and Dog
The Elkland Search and Rescue team rescued a hiker and his dog after they both got stranded near Laurel Mill Trail where the man only had hand sanitizer and a lighter to warm himself and his dog up until SAR crews came to rescue them.
Crews searched throughout the night for the hiker and dog, but the search was scaled back at 3 a.m. as temperatures had plummeted to 20 degrees, according to the search and rescuers. Read more here
