DCSAR Rescues Teen After Snowmobile Crash Near Elk Lake Loop
A teen was rescued by the Deschutes County Search and Rescue and other volunteers on Saturday after she rode her snowmobile, went over the boundary, and crashed into a tree near Elk Lake Loop.
Nine search-and-rescue volunteers went to the scene and had to clear a spot on a nearby trail for the AirLink helicopter to land. Read more here
We are thankful the DCSAR and other volunteers came to aid the teen. Whether the teen wore a helmet or not, everyone needs to wear one if riding a snowmobile, ATV, or any other vehicle bike. We hope she is recovering well, and as always, please be safe out there!
