
DCSAR Rescues Stranded Hiker on South Sister
After almost 24 hours of searching for a lost hiker, the Deschutes County Search and Rescue found the hiker near a summit in the South Sister area on Sunday morning.
A request was made by Lane County for an Oregon Army National Guard helicopter, but poor weather prevented a launch until the next day. Deschutes County SAR asked for Airlink to fly two SAR members to the summit, but the Airlink team was unable to find the hiker due to fog. Read more here
