
CCSAR Rescues Hiker in Colorado Avalanche Chute
Back in November of 2023, the Chaffee County Search and Rescue-North team aided a hiker stuck on an Avalanche Chute near Cottonwood Lake. The hiker had to spend the night in the chute until SAR teams came to rescue them.
Rescuers then spent about three hours warming the hiker before performing an extraction at 5 a.m.
