
Backpacker Rescued At Macey Lakes After Suffering From Hypothermia
On Tuesday, the Custer County Search and Rescue team came to the aid of a backpacker who was suffering from hypothermia in Macey Lakes while out with a backpacking group.
Rescue teams asked those planning to head to the backcountry to check the weather forecast and make sure to prepare for heavy rain with extra layers and hand warmers. Read more here
Great work to the CCSAR team for aiding the man. We wish him a speedy recovery. For those who didn't know, hypothermia can occur during the summer as well. Please make sure to wear layers to prevent getting cold. As always, please be safe out there, everyone!
