Washington State Teacher Falls To Death into California Gully
A former high school teacher from Vashon Island, WA, who originally was on a backpacking trip to Whitney Portal from Yosemite National Park ,had fallen to death into a gully on the John Muir Trail.
Although he planned to reach Onion Valley by June 29, he failed to respond to loved ones on his Garmin satellite texting device, prompting them to check if he’d picked up his food. Read more here
