WCSAR Rescues Five People and Two Pets in Verdi
On Monday night of November 17th, the Washoe County Search and Rescue team was dispatched to rescue five people and their two pets after they got stuck in deep snow in Verdi.

Thank you to WCSAR for the rescue of the group and their pets, and this is a reminder to everyone: if you are planning to travel up to the mountains where it's currently snowing, please be fully prepared for whatever you are about to encounter. Always bring an emergency bag in case you get lost, and more importantly, now that the weather is getting colder(depending on where you live), please bundle up in winter coats and appropriate snow shoes. As always, please be safe out there, everyone!
