Three Stranded Sailors Rescued By U.S. Coast Guard and Navy in Secluded Island
Three sailors, who were stranded on a secluded island in the Pacific Ocean area for more than a week, were finally rescued on Tuesday by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Navy after they were supposed to be home on Saturday while adventuring out on a voyage from Polowat Atoll on Easter.
The trio, all men in their 40s, reportedly embarked on their voyage from Polowat Atoll Easter Sunday in a 20-foot open skiff, equipped with an outboard motor and experience in navigating those waters.
