The Body of Snowmobiler Recovered Near Castle Mountain Resort
On Sunday, the body of a 46-year-old man was recovered by Pincher Creek RCMP along with other volunteers after the man, another adult, and two children were out snowmobiling in the Crownest Pass area near the Castle Mountain Resort when an avalanche erupted causing the adult and two children to evacuate. In contrast, the 46-year-old snowmobiler was unfortunately unable to get out.
Castle Mountain Ski Resort, located in the Westcastle Valley, sits approximately 170 miles (270 km) from Calgary, 90 miles (140 km) from Lethbridge, and 30 miles (50 km) west of Pincher Creek. Read more here
