
Stranded Hunter Rescued in Gunnison National Forest
Around last Friday, the Saguache County Search and Rescue team and other volunteers came to the rescue of a hunter who had become lost in the Gunnison National Forest and developed hypothermia due to the wet weather.
Search and rescue teams responded with three vehicles and eight personnel including emergency medical technicians, medical first responders, and technical rescue personnel. Read more here
Great work to all the SAR teams for their amazing rescue of the hunte,r as this is a reminder to make sure you are fully prepared by packing an emergency kit bag full of essentials and having a fully charged phone in case you get lost.
