
Sitka Fire Department Rescued Two Hikers in Separate Rescues
The Sitka Fire Department had their hands full over the weekend with two separate rescues where in the first rescue, a hiker at Harbor Mountain sustained a leg injury and was unable to walk while in the second rescue, a hiker needed medical attention at the Indian River after sustaining an injury.
Johnson said while having two back-to-back rescues is uncommon, it was a beautiful weekend and people were out enjoying the weather. Read more here
