Separate Searches For Two Men Launched in the Northern BC Area
Two separate searches for two men were launched by Kamloops and Central Okanagan SAR teams where one man went missing while out on a hiking trip in the Redfern-Keily Park area as he was supposed to come back home on October 17 whereas, in the second search, a man and his dog were missing after a hunting trip in the Chetwynd area where they were last seen on last Friday.
“KSAR and many other BC SAR Teams are working tirelessly to support the local SAR groups in these ongoing mutual aid missions,” said KSAR and COSAR in an update on Wednesday morning. Read more here
We wish both SAR teams the best in finding both men and the dog. Please be safe out there everyone!
UPDATE- We have a major update on Sam Benastick, who's been missing for over a month after going on a camping trip for ten days, but never returned home. He was seen on Tuesday wandering the woods by workers. We are happy to hear Sam is found safe and alive and wish him a speedy recovery. On another note, we don't have an update on the second search of the man and dog, but if there is new information, we'll update everyone on it! Please be safe out there! Read more here
