Search For Teen in Long Beach Suspended
In Long Beach, WA, the Coast Guard is suspending their search for a 15-year-old teen who went missing on the coast of Long Beach over the weekend, where two people tried to rescue him, but ended up with them being rescued by search crews, where they were medically evaluated for hypothermia.
"The act of suspending any search, let alone that of a 15-year-old, is something that the Coast Guard does not take lightly and not without a heavy heart," said Greg Merten Coast Guard Search and Rescue Mission Coordinator. Read more here
We hope the Coast Guard and search teams continue their search in finding the missing teen as we send our thoughts and prayers to the teen's family and friends. Updates will be available if there is new information. Please be safe out there, everyone!
