A big thanks to the Custer County SAR and other volunteers for rescuing the hiker as we wish the individual a speedy recovery. Since the weather is starting to change and it's getting colder for some areas, please be well prepared if you plan on hiking by making sure to pack an emergency kit, check the weather to see if it's not severe, and also wear appropriate clothes for the outdoors. As always, please be safe out there!
