
SAR Teams Rescue Hikers in Long Rescue in Greenhorn Mountain
After a 25-hour-long search, the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office SAR team has rescued a group of six hikers in Greenhorn Mountain after they separated from each other and got stranded.
“This was a very long, difficult, and dangerous operation, and we are thankful for the positive outcome,” said Pueblo County Sheriff David J. Lucero in a news release. Read more here
We're glad to hear all six hikers were rescued safely, all thanks to the PCSAR team. This is a reminder to be prepared by making sure you pack an essentials bag such a water, a blanket, and a compass, etc., stay with your group, or if you want to adventure out on a solo hike, please let your group know where you are headed.
