SAR Teams Recovered Body of Missing Swimmer in Potomac River
The SAR teams in Montgomery County recovered the body of a missing swimmer in the Potomac River on Monday after the individual and a group of other swimmers decided to try to swim from Virginia to Maryland on Friday, only for the swimmer to go missing while attempting to head out to their destination.
"One of them became distressed and went underwater and has been missing ever since, presumed to be drowned. Search has been taking place for the last couple of days," added Piringer. Read more here
We send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the missing swimmer. On a side note, I believe there are some states where swimming in rivers is illegal due to how deep the water is. Most importantly, please be safe out there!
