Paraglider Rescued After Getting Stuck on a Tree
The Vernon Search and Rescue team aided a paraglider after he got stuck at least 130 feet up a tree.
Initially, VSAR was told the subject was 30 feet up the tree, then they were told he was 70 feet, but in reality he was “way up in the tree. He probably hit the tallest tree in the area.” Read more here
Great work to the Vernon SAR for rescuing the man and returning him to safety. We hope the man is doing okay after the tree incident. I can't imagine being stuck on a tree for hours, I probably might not remain calm on the inside and out, but to conclude, we're glad to hear the man is safe. Please be safe out there, everyone!
