Man Rescued By Alberni SAR Team After Paraglide Incident
A man was rescued by the Alberni Search and Rescue Society after he went paragliding to celebrate Canada Day with friends and ended up landing on top of a tree at least 35 meters above.
Pincus had already been hung up in a seated position for nearly two hours by the time rescuers arrived (the harnesses they use for flying are designed for sitting, Pincus said). He was appropriately dressed and he had water with him. Read more here
Excellent work to the Alberni SAR Society for rescuing Jack Pincus. I can't imagine being stuck on top of a tree for two hours, let alone at least 5 minutes, but we're glad to hear that Jack was rescued and we hope he is doing well. Please be safe out there!
