
Man Rescued After Sending Message From Drone To SAR Team
In the Lane County area of Oregon, a lost man was saved by SAR Team as he was stuck in a forest while heavy snow occurred where he sent a message from a drone to call for help and the SAR team responded and came to the rescue.
Ultimately, the team said, the man attached his phone to his drone, typed out a text message to his friend explaining his situation and launched it several hundred feet into the air. Read more here
With the technology we have today, it's magnificent to see how impactful devices like drones or the SOS button on iPhones can be in order for SAR teams to aid people who are stranded in secluded places.
