
Man Dies From Snowslide in Gunsight Mountain
A 37-year-old avalanche forecaster was killed after a snow slide struck him while he and a friend went skiing on Gunsight Mountain. While they were skiing, an avalanche erupted causing the man to be caught in it.
When they noticed the avalanche, a group of people from the next lodge instantly alerted first responders and headed to the scene. Even though they were trying to give CPR to the forecaster, Burks died at the scene. Read more here
