MCSAR Rescues Dog Who Fell Down ledge of Colorado National Monument
The Mesa County Search and Rescue team came to the aid of a dog who fell 100 feet down a ledge of the Colorado National Monument after the canine and her owner stopped by to see the monument. As soon as the owner opened the car door for her, the dog jumped out and ran towards the ledge, prompting her to fall down.
She was taken to emergency veterinary services where it was determined she only suffered minor scrapes and bumps but no broken bones or internal injuries, according to Mesa County Search and Rescue. Read more here
Great work to the Mesa County SAR team, as we are thrilled to hear the dog was safely rescued and returned to its owner. I, too, would be devastated if my dog fell down the ledge of a mountain. Furthermore, it is very important to make sure your dog is leashed before adventuring outdoors so that way, they are kept safe. As always, please be safe out there, everyone!
