
Kittitas County SAR Teams Rescues Woman and Dog on French Cabin Mountain
In the early morning of Monday, the Kittitas County Search and Rescue team and other volunteers rescued a woman and her Shiba inu in French Cabin Mountain after hiking and being stranded due to snow.
The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office is warning hikers that slow melts slowly during the spring and early summer in the mountains. Read more here
We're glad to hear the woman and her dog are safely rescued all thanks to the SAR teams and other volunteers of Kittitas County. Even though temperatures are starting to warm up, depending on where you live, it's always best to check the weather to make sure the mountains are safe to visit especially since there's snow and it's slowly melting.
