Hiker Separated From Group Rescued By SAR Teams in La Plata
On September 20th, Chaffee County SAR North came to the rescue for a hiker who had separated from their group and got lost in La Plata.
A whistle heard by rescuers led them to a missing hiker in Colorado, officials said. Read more here
It is essential to inform your group if you plan to hike solo. Please let them know where you are heading. If you get lost, stay where you are, as SAR teams are called to rescue you.
