Hiker Rescued by SAR Team in Rocky Mountains
The Chaffee County SAR team rescued a hiker who was unprepared for the hike after he climbed 13,000 feet up the Rocky Mountains and was stuck, suffering from hypothermia.
“When inclement weather moved in the hiker found themself unprepared; out of water, with no food, wearing only a cotton hoodie and no way to warm themselves,” Chaffee County Search and Rescue North said in a news release. Read more here
Great work to the SAR team for rescuing the individual. It's very important to check the weather before going out to do outdoor activities along with making sure you pack an essential bag such as food for example in case you get lost. Please be safe out there!
