
Hiker Rescued By Search Team Using Cellphone
An 18-year-old hiker was rescued by South Fraser Search and Rescue team near Golden Ears Provincial Park after he messaged the team for help on Facebook and the team responded right away.
Wearing sneakers and shorts, the young man did not have proper gear necessary to hike the backcountry, let alone stay out overnight, Laing noted. Read more here
