
Hiker Rescued After Screaming For His Life From A Fall in The North Cascades
A miraculous rescue happened on July 14th after a 31-year-old hiker fell down the Chickamin Glacier area in the North Cascades, where he screamed for his life until SAR teams from the Naval Air Station at Whidbey finally arrived to save him. From there, he suffered multiple serious injuries and early stages of hypothermia.
The rescue highlights the importance of carrying a satellite emergency device or a phone equipped with off-grid SOS functionality when adventuring solo in the backcountry. Read more here
