As cold weather starts to set in, it is essential to be prepared when you go out. First, make sure you pack a bag full of essentials such as a gallon of water, a warm blanket, a compass, etc. Second, it is also important to let someone know where you are headed or if you get stranded, and if you are lucky enough to have a satellite on your phone, you can let someone know your location. If you can't reach for help, unless you have the SOS feature on your iPhone, then you may use it. We hope more hikers are rescued from Mt. Everest, and as always, please be safe out there, everyone!
