Dog Dies On Grandeur Peak
A labrador was found dead after the canine was hiking up towards Grandeur Peak with its owner where the hiker became dehydrated and wanted to go back down from the mountain, but the dog refused to hike down any further, and that's when the hiker decided to hike solo.
“The hiker had no water at this time, and it’s unknown how much, if any water, was taken on the hike,” the release stated. “The hiker hiked back down to the trailhead while the dog was still on the mountain.” Read more here
We send our condolences to the hiker and the family.
We want to kindly remind everyone to always bring at least 1-2 liters of water or even a gallon with you when hiking up on outdoor recreations and more importantly, bring water for your dogs as well and always keep an eye out on them.
