
Climber Rescued on North Six Shooter Peak After Hanging Upside Down For Hours
SAR teams rushed to rescue a climber who was found hanging upside down for four hours at North Six Shooter Peak last Sunday where he suffered a few injuries after being rescued.
Approaching the climber from atop the 6,347-foot sandstone tower was necessary because of challenges presented by the steep talus slope at the base of the towering butte. Read more here
Excellent work to the SAR teams for coming to rescue the climber. We hope he recovers well from his injuries. I can't imagine being stuck on a mountain or canyon for hours, but I'm glad to hear the man was rescued safely. As always, please be safe out there!
