
CCSAR Rescues Injured Mushroom Hunter in Medicine Bow Forest
The Carbon County Search and Rescue team aided a mushroom hunter on Monday after he and his wife went hiking in the Sheep Creek area, where he suffered a fall resulting in injury to his ankle, leaving him stranded in the Medicine Bow Forest.
The man’s wife left him and hiked 3 miles before finally finding somebody traveling on a U.S. Forest Service road who had cell service to summon help, Bakken said. Read more here
