Baltimore Bridge Collapses Caused By Cargo Ship
This morning, SAR teams launched a major search for anyone on the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, MD after a cargo ship was trying to get under the bridge, but unfortunately, it caused the bridge to collapse.
The fire chief reported that rescue divers from multiple agencies are using sonar and infrared technology in the search for survivors. Air assets are also being utilized to search the area. Read more here
Seeing a clip of the bridge collapsing on social media was truly heartbreaking, especially if people were driving on the bridge either going to work or getting off from work and going straight home. We send our prayers to the families, hoping their loved ones are found and we wish the SAR teams a safe, dedicated search, hoping to find any missing survivors. Stay tuned for updates!
UPDATE- Two people were rescued where one was taken to a trauma center in serious condition and the other person was not injured. It also has been reported that six people are still missing. We will give everyone a second update if new details are available. Read more here
