Avalanche Kills Four Hikers in Vardousia Mountains
On Christmas, SAR teams in Greece recovered the bodies of four hikers who were out on a hike on Korakas peak in the Vardousia Mountains when an avalanche triggered and wiped them out.
A massive search began right after they were reported missing. More than 30 firefighters and special mountain units, along with drones and a helicopter, took part in the extensive search. Read more here
