
Alberni Valley Rescue Squad Rescues Injured Hiker and Dog
The Alberni Valley Rescue Squad rescued a hiker and dog over the weekend after the hiker fell on Mt. Arrowsmith and was injured while the dog was found in a 2nd search.
Searchers said the hiker was found with emergency supplies, food and extra clothing, however, they were unfamiliar with the trail and feeling pressure to hurry due to dwindling daylight when the incident occurred. Read more here
