438 People Dead After Cyclone Hits Malawi
A cyclone destroyed part of the southern part of Malawi on Friday and the death toll resulted in at least 438 people as of now while search and rescue teams continue to search for more people who are missing after the cyclone hit.
The cumulative number of injured people has reached 918, with another 282 reported missing, said Charles Kalemba, commissioner of the department. Read more here
It's absolutely heartbreaking to hear about the number of people who were killed by the cyclone. We send our condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the cyclone as we pray for SAR teams to continue to find the missing people and get them back to their families safe and sound.
